| | Eternal Consequences Making It the Best
It Can Be |
|  | It has almost become a ritual in American culture. With the new year many people resolve to lose weight, eat healthy and make sure our bodies are “the best they can be.”
And there is nothing wrong with wanting to be healthy, to feel your best, and to want to prevent illness and disease. BUT we do create a problem when we make an IDOL out of health and earthly happiness, at the expense of our soul. We often hear “If you have your health, you have everything.”
NOT TRUE.
Of what use is a perfect, healthy body if it encases a dimmed and rotten soul?
How different our world would be if we put as much effort into strengthening, beautifying, and nourishing our souls, as we do our bodies. The preoccupation with wanting our bodies to be forever young,
has paralleled the growing loss of Faith in Eternal Life.
The loss of Faith in God.
This loss of Faith has had many, many consequences for the individual
and for our world.
How much of the evil in our world is the result of people who think
that this life is all there is,
and consequently, nothing is more important than their own desires?
Our earthly body, no matter how beautiful now, will eventually be dust and ashes. BUT OUR SOUL WILL LIVE FOREVER.
And when we die, it is the state of our soul that has everlasting consequences for us. That is what we should want to make the best it can be. Mission of Divine Mercy

| | SACRAMENTAL BLESSING SCHEDULE CHANGE
Due to conflicts with the Deanery Meeting calendar, we have to change the day on which Fr. John Mary blesses Sacramentals and personal holy objects. Going forward it will be the first Wednesday of the month.
The next scheduled blessing is Wednesday, March 1st.
No blessing scheduled for February. |

February 4 Every First Saturday of the month we have a simple Rite of Investiture with the Brown Scapular after our 8 AM Mass for all those interested. Please bring your own Scapular or you may purchase one at our Sacramental building, which is open whenever the Mission grounds are open. |

- If a retreat is full, call 830-302-9707 and ask to be put on the waiting list. There are always last minute cancellations.
- Each person must register individually, not as a group, so that we have contact information.
- We cannot reserve spaces in advance of the opening date for reservation.
- Due to limited space, we will give priority to those who have not made an EWJ.
- Prior retreatants wishing to make another retreat should call 830-302-9707 to be placed on the waiting list.

It has also been the subject of many heresies which we call Millenarianism. In this talk we will look at interpretations found in the Fathers, Doctors, Saints, and approved mystics, as well as Church history and the Magisterium. |

for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You" ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL. Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony: For the return to the faith for my adult children and grandchildren.
