Local Artist Inspired by Mission

John Green, a local painter, photographer, and friend of the Mission recently gave MDM three watercolor paintings in which he had captured different sites on the Mission property. The paintings are beautifully rendered and framed. We thank God for John's talent and we thank John for his generosity in sharing it with us!

Update on Jared

Jared was moved back to the rehab facility at the beginning of the week with the expectation that he will begin limited therapy on his speech, strength and range of motion. While he received a warm welcome back from several staff members, he has no memory of having been there before. The wound in his lower back shows some signs of improvement, but still a cause for concern. He has to remain in the special bed for at least another two weeks.

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.
