Behold Your King!

King of All Hearts

"Today is the Feast of Christ the King.  During Holy Mass I prayed fervently that Jesus might become King of all hearts and that divine grace might shine in every soul. Then I saw Jesus as He is depicted in the Divine Mercy image, and He said to me, My daughter, you give Me the greatest glory by faithfully fulfilling My desires.(500 Divine Mercy In My Soul)

*****

"...that Jesus might become King of all hearts..."

Unfortunately, for many people in our world today, God is the Great Unknown. Our culture has succeeded in so distorting His Image in the hearts of His children, that He is almost unrecognizable to them.

What pain this must cause God.  And how much pain this must cause His children who thirst and hunger for Someone they can't even name. And there is a lot of thirst and hunger around us.

We may not be able to change our world, but, with God's help, we can bring comfort to some of His children.

How?

First, by opening your heart to Him in faith and trust. By giving Him permission to work in it. It is heavy work, and sometimes painful, as He works at opening and deepening it, so that this newly expanded vessel can be filled with more of His Mercy and grace.

But it is this new Mercy in our hearts, that can begin to satisfy the thirst and relieve the fears of those around us. And help new hearts to recognize their King.

Jesus, I trust in You.

Update on Jared

Monday's  difficult operation to repair the dangerous wound on his lower back was completed successfully. Now they must monitor it carefully. During the operation the surgeon also did a skin graft to repair back wounds that were not healing sufficiently. Now he has to remain on his side in a special bed for the next 4-6 weeks so that the lower back wound can heal. He is not permitted to sit or turn on his back.  He can't walk due to an ankle break that still requires additional surgery.  This is a long road and sometimes difficult for Jared to comprehend. Your continued prayers are very appreciated.
Jesus, we trust in You.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy
for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

I am a street missionary with great devotion to the King of Mercy! I would not be able to take one step forward were it not for trust in His great and unfathomable mercy! ~ Cynthia

Always seeking the peace of our Lord in the silence of prayer. Every day is a reason to give thanks, every minute is one in which to offer prayers of the heart, and each night is an opportunity to review the treasures I have discovered during the day, be they difficulties and or suffering, or joy and love, our Lord knows that which is best for each of us and He waits silently at the doorway to our soul for us to invite Him in! What gift could be greater than true friendship with our Lord. ~Daniel

St. Paul’s Mysterious Prophecy

The Liturgy at this time of the year turns us to prophecy, to what is coming, to the Last Things.  What is the mysterious message St. Paul gives to the Thessalonians?
