Today, Sept. 23rd, is St. Padre Pio's Feast Day
"Pray, Hope
and Don't Worry"

Spiritual wisdom from Saint Padre Pio:

“Pray, hope, and don’t worry.
Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.”

******

“The earth could exist more easily without the sun
than without the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass....

If we only knew how God regards this Sacrifice,
we would risk our lives to be present at a single Mass.”

*******

Padre Pio was canonized in 2002 by Pope John Paul II.  At St. Pio's canonization Mass, the future saint said of the new saint, "Today we contemplate in him how sweet is the ‘yoke’ of Christ and indeed how light the burdens are whenever someone carries these with faithful love. The life and mission of Padre Pio testify that difficulties and sorrows, if accepted with love, transform themselves into a privileged journey of holiness, which opens the person toward a greater good, known only to the Lord.”

Update on Jared
Jared is in the neuro rehabilitation facility, beginning the process of reacquiring muscle function and basic skills. Certain injuries will require a return to the hospital for future operations. As anyone who has experienced a similar situation knows, it is a long process from here. However, Susannah and her family are extremely grateful for the progress he has already made and the potential that he shows. As she keeps repeating, "We are seeing miracles! Please continue your prayers."

Jesus, we trust in You.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy
for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

Dear Lord, I cling to you and your son Jesus for guidance and understanding. When I am weary and lost, it is the power of your love and strength that leads me from the sadness of this world and my own life, that I Trust in you Jesus, to make me see that there is no life without you. You are the life, the blood and body of my soul and there is no life of love with out you. Jesus, I trust in you, always. ~Lisa

Fr. John Mary's Sunday Homily
 Sept. 18, 2022

Is the Missionary Spirit Over?

To many it seems like it no longer has a place in our modern world.  On the contrary, St. John Paul II, in his document on Missions, calls for a bold renewal of proclaiming Jesus today.
