The Poison and
The Antidote

THE ENEMY’S POISON

We are living in a time when many of God’s children are experiencing a heightened level of confusion, doubt, anger and anxiety about many things – specific and non-specific.  Many feel abandoned by those who should have been guiding, consoling and strengthening them.

Instead of a renewal of trust in God’s Mercy, they have found fear.
Only fear.
And fear, like a poison, paralyzes the soul.

This fear, confusion, and anxiety is part of the enemy’s plan. They are his weapons, his poison.

Human means work for human things, but spiritual means must be used for those things that are a direct attack on the spirit, and that are born of the enemy’s hatred for our souls.

THE ANTIDOTE: TRUST IN JESUS

Ask Jesus to neutralize these weapons.
Ask Jesus to remove the poisons.
Your acts of Faith will be fruitful and will disarm many of the enemy’s weapons.
Block the insidious voice of the enemy which wants to sow fear and confusion
with your “Jesus, I trust in You.”

Use Sacramentals as well as blessings like the Sign of the Cross,
and encourage others to use them,  to help strengthen and encourage Faith.
Faith in Jesus defeats the wiles of the enemy and neutralizes his poison.
LOOK AT JESUS.

REMAIN IN HIS PEACE.

FAITH IN JESUS IS THE ANTIDOTE AGAINST THE POISON OF FEAR.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy
for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

  •
  • The "peace beyond understanding" through trusting Jesus is real. ~Jill

Mission Closed for the Entire Month of July

The Mission is closed the entire month of July to provide our religious community with a sabbatical month in their 20th anniversary year. This means that there will be no public Masses at the Mission in July, instead of the usual two weeks. We are sorry for those who will be disappointed or inconvenienced by this, but the Community believes that this sabbatical month will provide a needed break  to fortify them for the long haul.

The Mission office will be open during regular office hours so that work projects may continue.  However, the Mission grounds will be closed so that Dave and his crew can proceed with special annual maintenance operations.

Fr. John Mary's Sunday Homily
