While There Is
Still Time

 EASTER VIGIL PASCHAL FIRE 2022

WHILE THERE IS STILL  TIME

Brothers and sisters, we are living in extraordinary times.

“Write this: before I come as the Just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy.”(#83 words of Jesus to St. Faustina, Diary of St. Faustina)

Jesus tells us that This Time of Mercy –which is a special gift for our times– will culminate with an action on God’s part that the world has never seen up till now.

“Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.” (#83)

“While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them”. (848)

We must take advantage of this Time of Mercy, which God has given to us for His unfathomable reasons. While it is still the time of Mercy, gather His Mercy in your heart, and help Him give it to souls.

He calls us to be His co-workers.

SUMMER SCHEDULE

Sunday Mass will move to 9 AM beginning in June
to avoid the  worst of the summer heat.

The Mission will be closed the entire month of July.

A Gentle Reminder of Appropriate Dress for Mass

We know that our Chapel can be warm--okay, hot-- in the summer but we ask you to please respect our request for appropriate attire when you attend Mass here. Out of respect for the Eucharist, and each other, we ask that you don't wear shorts; sleeveless tops;  or tight, revealing clothing that is cut up to here and down to there. And if you are bringing a friend or family member for the first time, it is a kindness to mention this in advance.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter, and we think Jesus appreciates it too.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy
for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a testimony:

Seeking Peace ~ Anonymous

Praying for healing from my cancer ~Anonymous

Grief has taken a toll on my heart with three deaths in our family~ important people in my life and also an estranged relationship with my son. For my 60 th birthday all I wanted was to be on the beach, have my coffee and see what the Lord had planned for me ~ the sunrise , the day and just being quiet. During the day as we were fishing my sweetheart said "Hey look at this"~ he brought over to me a Mylar “Happy Birthday” balloon that had floated to his feet while surf fishing!!!! I jumped for joy as I knew this was from God and his angels and my loved ones! That morning I put all trust in God~ all worries and grief went away as I sat waiting for the morning sun. Jesus I Trust in You .~Bridget

Memorial Bricks Are Set in Stone--
Sort of...

Up to this point Dave Sommers has tried to accommodate all requests from people who have asked that their family memorials be grouped together, even when they are ordered and put in place months apart. We understand the desire to have loved ones next to each other. But as the number of memorials grow, this becomes a more difficult task, and one that can offend another person when their memorial is moved to make way for someone else. Also, lifting and moving bricks comes with the risk of chipping an edge or corner. So from now on, the memorials must be laid as they come, and please don't ask for them to be moved. Only memorials that are ordered at the same time can be specified to be laid next to each other.
Thank you for your understanding.

The Lamb, The Lord,
The Apocalypse – Part 1

The Book of Revelation is addressed to us in our tribulation. This is the first of a series of 3 homilies on the Apocalypse. This is a vision of FAITH, in Jesus, the Lord of History.
