OCT. 2, SATURDAY MORNING REFLECTION: ST. FAUSTINA

Oct. 5th was the Feast day of St. Faustina.
In honor of this occasion, we include two of our favorite quotes from her Diary.
Try to read each of them as if you were hearing it for the first time.

"In the Old Covenant I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to My people.
Today I am sending you [Sr. Faustina] with My mercy
to the people of the whole world.
I do not want to punish aching mankind,
but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My Merciful Heart.

...Before the Day of Justice I am sending the Day of Mercy."
(1588)

"If My death has not convinced you of My love, what will?"
(580)

October: the Month of the Rosary

Thursday, Oct 7  was the
Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Also known as Our Lady of Victory for Her intercession at the Battle of Lepanto, when Catholics throughout Christendom prayed for victory over the greater forces of the Ottoman Empire. In times of acute danger, Catholics have always turned to the arms of their Mother.
Through Her Rosary we need to implore Her intercession for our world so in danger today.
