Bring It To Mass

And Leave It There

"When you bring to your Mass all that you have experienced
---your whole life story---
you allow Me to redeem those things that are most dark, bitter, and painful by taking them into the Mystery of My Sacrifice.
Come to the altar with your sins,
even with those of which you are most ashamed,
and I will show you that I have already taken them upon Myself
and expiated them in My Blood.
Come to the altar with every troubled and broken relationship
of your past, with every betrayal, every failure, and every sacrilege,
and I shall cast all these things into the ocean of My Mercy,
never again to be recovered or named
or used by the Accuser against you."

PLANNING AHEAD:

Novena to Queenship of Mary

Aug. 14- Aug. 22

The annual novena in which we honor Mary's role as Queen of Heaven
and our own Queen Mother.

As Mother Magdalene says, now is the time to begin gathering all your special personal intentions that you wish to bundle into this novena.

NEXT WEEK: MDM's special intention for this novena

St. Joseph Workshop Website

The website is active again and the MDM t-shirts are available.
You can wear one while using your own handmade MDM banquito, or prayer bench, which are also available on the website.

Wood That He Could

Brother Mikael is the woodworker behind St. Joseph's Workshop. Like the shop's namesake, Brother works exclusively with hand tools and and researches woodworking techniques that preceded power tools. His current project is preparing  reproductions of an original Marian icon painted by Sr. Amapola. The icons will feature a cherry wood backing and will soon be for sale on our website.

SPIRITUAL WEAPONS AGAINST THE VIRUS

Some of you requested that we print the prayers that Fr. John Mary recited at the conclusion of Mass this past Sunday. They are being prayed daily by the Community and staff  here at the Mission as a spiritual weapon against the effects of the virus and the fear it has caused.

+BY THE SIGN OF THE HOLY CROSS,
+FROM ALL OUR ENEMIES DELIVER US,
+O LORD OUR GOD.
+IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON,
AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN

( While reciting the first sentence, make a Sign of the Cross on the forehead, lips and heart, as you do before the Gospel. Then make the traditional Sign of the Cross while reciting the second sentence.)

"MARY MOST HOLY, QUEEN OF PEACE, BANISH ALL FEAR FROM THE HEARTS OF YOUR CHILDREN. AMEN."

SIGNS OF THE INVISIBLE

There are many important things that we can’t see.  But, as Jesus shows in today’s Gospel, God gives us signs to lead us from what is visible to what is invisible.  To His Real Presence.

Yes, You Can Help!

WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT!

Thank you for considering  a donation in support of the Mission of Divine Mercy. The Mission has no regular source of income, and we receive no diocesan funding.  Every bit of support comes from people like you; people whom God introduces to the Mission.  We try to steward your money wisely and make each dollar work hard for Him and for His people.
