Change in Sunday Mass Time and Location

(see below)

Trust &
Torrents

"Tell souls that from this fount of mercy
souls draw graces solely with the vessel of trust.

If their trust is great, there is no limit to My generosity.
The torrents of grace inundate humble souls." (1602)

The words of Jesus to St. Faustina

On Divine Mercy Sunday all the torrents of God's grace
are opened for humanity.

ALL THE TORRENTS OF GRACE ARE OPENED!
We need to be fearless in submerging ourselves in this grace.
Be fearless in receiving it.
Be fearless in sharing it.
Have no fear.
We are His beloved children, and all is in His Hands.
Open yourselves to His Mercy, allow Him to cover you, your families and  your loved ones, through your acts of Trust.

You may find such  abundance difficult to  believe in,
but OUR GOD IS ALL POWERFUL,
AND HIS LOVE AND MERCY ARE INFINITE.
Just Trust In Jesus.

On Sunday, May 9th

We will return to St. Joseph Chapel, Mass  will begin at 9:00 AM.

We are making this change because:

  • Recent directives from the Archdiocese have decreased the social distance requirements from six feet to three feet.
  • The earlier start time, the shade and the ceiling fans will lessen the effects of the approaching summer heat.
  • Because of the half walls, people who still wish to sit outside, can do so and still hear and see the Mass.

SOME MDM VEHICLES IN SERIOUS DECLINE

We have been very fortunate when it comes to our vehicles.  We have never had to purchase a car.  We have always been the grateful recipients of generous friends who have passed along used vehicles in good running order.  Beginning with Fr. John Mary's parents who passed on their old Crown Vic, the "Gray Ghost" that brought the men to New Braunfels for the first time.

We have also been fortunate to have skilled, generous auto technicians who have helped us to maintain the cars, often past their normal lifespans.

But suddenly, three vehicles are in need of replacement.  Two vehicles are signaling their imminent demise.  Sr. Amapola's just pulled off the highway last week and died  of major organ failure. RIP

We are in the market for some good used vehicles.

Fr. John Mary's Homily from Sunday, April 18

Escape from Evil to Jesus

Easter is rooted in the Passover, the escape from slavery.  Our world is cruelly oppressed by evil.  How can we escape?  St. Peter’s preaching shows us the 2 keys:  recognizing our sin and trusting in Jesus’ Mercy.  Repent, and believe the Good News.

BROWN SCAPULAR INVESTITURE

Beginning in May, on each First Saturday of the month,
we will offer the Investiture in the Brown Scapular
after our 8:00 AM Mass.
